Disclaimer and Service Policy
At Pedl, our primary commitment is to ensure that every bike and scooter we service is safe, reliable, and fit for purpose. Our duty of care extends to providing comprehensive and responsible maintenance, and we reserve the right to refuse any job that compromises this standard.
Service and Safety Commitment
Fit for Purpose
We are obligated to return any bike or scooter in a condition that ensures it is safe and fully functional. This means we will not simply perform isolated repairs, such as changing a tire, on a vehicle that has critical safety issues like non-functional brakes.
Every vehicle leaving our workshop must be in reasonable working order, meeting basic safety and operational standards.
Duty of Care
Our responsibility is to ensure that any repairs and maintenance contribute to the overall safety and functionality of the vehicle. We take this duty seriously and apply it to all aspects of our service.
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to decline any job if we determine that we cannot make the vehicle safe and fit for use.
Specifically, we will refuse to perform partial repairs that do not address significant safety concerns. For example, if a bike has no brakes, we will not just change the tire. The entire bike must meet safety standards before it leaves our shop.
General Service Recommendations
For any bike or scooter that has not undergone a general service within the last 12 months, we will recommend a comprehensive check-up and necessary maintenance.
While we evaluate each case individually, we reserve the right to refuse service if our reasonable safety recommendations are declined by the customer.
By adhering to these policies, we aim to ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability for all our customers' bikes and scooters. Thank you for trusting Pedl with your vehicle maintenance needs.
